Needing some inspiration...

I discovered this old warehouse on stumbleupon. Love at first sight.

Favourite Pieces from 2010

Here are a few of my favourite pieces from 2010: the pieces I enjoyed working on the most and the ones I want to develop in 2011...

Painting of two of Steve Mc. Curry's photographs.
I created this piece to practice my mark-making techniques.

One of my Laser-cut designs from my mixed media module.
Based on Dragon fly wings and created as part of a wall paper collection.

Maisie. A combination of pencil, acrylic and collage.

S p r i n g / S u m m e r 2 0 1 1

Christmas day may have not even passed yet and I still haven't made my New Years Eve plans, but 6 days of snow and being unable to go anywhere other than the circumference of the farm have got me dreaming about next summer. I didn't manage to bag myself a Glastonbury ticket but I remain entirely hopeful for their second session of ticket-sales. I am therefore going to start planning my wardrobe. Basic research is allowed this early. Maybe.

Pastoral Romance is set for spring/summer 2011 (this makes me very happy)
Relaxed, pretty and girly, providing the perfect hippie vibe for the summer sun.

Sculpture-
Creating a sense of movement within clothing combined with subtle tones and elegant finishes.

Studs. Wear with care. An over indulgence could be dangerous, but worn as a statement piece and with plain cottons, the boy meets girl vibe of the summer can be met effortlessly.

She just looked so cold in the snow!

Tried sneaking a goat into the house as she looked so cold in the snow. Didn't go to well with the parents so she has now been returned to the barn. Shame though, was nice having some company while I attempted my marketing revision.

Marcel the shell with shoes on

I just really want one

S n o w s n o w s n o w s n o w s n o w s n o w s n o w s n o w

Everythings  w h i t e  and I'm all snowed in. Now it feels like Christmas. Finley pup can't get enough. Throw a snowball in his face and he will love you forever.

It snowed for a few hours this morning and then the sky cleared and the sun came down, creating a lovely light for taking pictures.
